1 Timothy 3:12
"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in
word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
Most teenagers believe that they have little influence in this world, because
of their age. Although they may not have much authority, a teenager's example
affects other people. Therefore, it is very important for Christian young men
and women to cultivate godly character in their lives.
The Youth Ministry of Arvada Baptist Church strives to support Christian
parents in the training of their young people. It also exists to evangelize
lost teens in our community, edify Christian young people in our
congregation, exalt Christ in our ministries, and equip Christian teens to
serve God for the rest of their lives.
BIBLE STUDIES:
Our Senior High Sunday School class will be studying "The Case For Christ" by Lee Strobel in the month of December. Please join us for this in-depth Bible study which will surely equip you with a greater devotion for our Lord!
Our weekly Youth Meetings are held every Wednesday at 7:00 PM. We use this time to worship God and encourage one another. We sing to our Lord, study His Word, pray to Him, and play team-building games.
ACTIVITIES:
Activities are numerous, with at least three every month. Typically, two are
on the weekends and one on Sunday night. What we do for activites varies
greatly depending on the seasons of the year. It could be capture the flag,
outdoor expeditions, golf, BBQ's, tubing or skiing, or any number of other fun
outings.
We have also been on several Missions Projects. In 2001, we took a trip to Utah
to help with a Vacation Bible School. In 2002, we held Backyard Bible Clubs in
some our Church family's neighborhoods. In 2004, we traveled to Belize,
Central America for a week of special meetings and Vacation Bible School. In
2005, we traveled to South Dakota and assisted our missionaries on the Yankton
Sioux Reservation with a V.B.S. In 2006, we traveled to Yuma, CO to help a new
church plant, Faith Bible Baptist Church, with their first Vacation Bible
School.
