Kids hold a special place in Jesus' heart.  He created them, sacrificed His life for their sins, and longs for them to know, love and serve Him.  Mark 10:14-15 gives a little insight into Jesus' heart for kids:

"Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein."

This is why kids matter so much to Arvada Baptist Church.  It is our desire to see every boy and girl impacted with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  A.W.A.N.A. is one of the programs that we use in this endeavor.

A.W.A.N.A. is the premier program to impact kids, families and entire communities! It is the leading ministry helping the local church to reach children for Christ by blending Bible teaching, Scripture memorization and tons of fun.

What is A.W.A.N.A.?
  • A.W.A.N.A. comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, which is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15
  • 2 Timothy 2:15 - "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

What makes A.W.A.N.A. so unique?
It is centered on the gospel.
Bible memory is a key element of the curriculum.
The program takes a systematic approach for training kids from the earliest of ages.
Kids are trained how to serve in the local church.
